Differance between a good goat and a great goat!!
« on: September 27, 2008, 05:58:19 PM »
Just got my 2005 Mt Goat back from the Taxi and just thought you guys might like to see. This goat was taken on about the 7-8th day of the hunt. Very nice goat and I'm very proud of him. Score was 47 1/8 I think.

This is a few pics before I took him.

This is the one I was after. I took the pics during the season but didn't pull the trigger because I had to work the next day!

I think this goat would have made the 50 inch's for the BC book.
Thanks for looking Tony
Take care and be safe.
Tony

Yep, you are talking to the two guys on this site (proclaimed by me of course) that really want one of those critters.    NICE MOUNT  Do you mind telling us who did it.  Good advertisement for them.  Where is it going?

beautiful goat and great mount to boot....got a full story on your hunt you'd care to share?

2 years after moving here from upstate new york i did my first back country hunt for elk off of horses. i saw a group of 15-20 goats on the side of a mountain and i sat and watched them things for an hour or more...i was in awe....we don't have anything like that in NY and i have been interested in them ever since, and put in for the tag where i saw them every year too.

Very nice goat. It was a lot of fun reading about your adventures on MM while you were chasing them around.
