Mray, its ok I too stand up for friends.  Sorry I hit the post button before I was finished.  Im not attacking HP or you at all,  I just want to make the point that without the skull plate it will never be a for sure deal.  My expertise on matching the antlers to the skull plate would be exactly that.  Putting the two together!  I am jealous of HP for shooting a moose, I want to kill a bull though! :chuckle:  I am also jealous he found a match set of moose sheds. :'(  I know you guys worked hard because I followed the whole time.  Congrats on your moose and the match set of moose sheds you found Huntinphool!  Mray no hard feelings and I will not open my check book for anything other than my hunts!  :P

I met Bow4elk Friday so he could put the tape on the sheds. He measured each shed and then decided that a good average distance between peds was 7", so we used that. We propped one side up and he had me hold the other one opposite so he could move it to make an approximate layout and spread, obviously just a guess but he is a official scorer. He stood back, took a good look and when they were where he thought they should be he measured the spread. He came up with an approx. spread of 52". He totaled it all up and came up with a gross score of 155 2/8. Here are a couple pics of Bow4elk.

Advice to Shane, 180 and the rest, don't get trigger happy there are plenty of moose to choose from. You have two months so make sure you are going to be content before you pull the trigger :twocents:

can't let it die, there's competition now.

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

So nobody but me gets blamed, I put the childish arguements in the trash.  Keep it going in PM's if you really want to, but I think you guys should but it to bed.
