Horse camps
« on: May 29, 2013, 08:53:18 PM »
I ran into a lady a few weeks back riding in the ALW.  She said her map listed all the Horse camps and she had names for each.  I spend a lot of time staring at maps and have never heard of some of the camp names she mentioned.  Do any of you guys know what maps list backcountry camps by name?  I'm just curious, my wife rides but I mostly hike.  It would be nice to start getting her farther back into the wilderness areas with me.

Thanks for the link. I see that map shows car camping horse camps.  I was thinking more about backcountry camps.  I know there are a number of designated stock camps in the backcountry and she named a few I hadn't heard of in the area.  Just curious what kind of special map she had the named the backcountry horse camps by name.
