Thanks Bearpaw. I don't use profanity but it doesn't offend me either...but it drives me NUTS that people speak like that in front of kids. You can't even take a kid to a ball game any more. Glad this site is staying family friendly.
what in the wild wild world of sports???

I want to keep Hunting-Washington a respectable and family friendly site. If you want to talk profanity please do it at the corner bar, in your home, at your work place, or anywhere else that it does not shed a poor light on this hunting community. It's really not that hard to understand or do.

And I do so in those places you mentioned.
I do not on here or any other forum I am on.  It's really not that difficult not to do so either.

Thanks Dale!

I make an effort to keep it clean--but you gotta remember, some of us are retired construction workers!  :chuckle:

Bumping this for more than one or two people here.

Can we not be civil? Can we not behave like adults?

My experience with real adults is a lot of profanity... :dunno:

Of course, there were some forms that were not acceptable, even around dad.

Can we have a list of allowed words?

I assume piss is acceptable.
Friggin... (even though everyone knows what you mean)  :mor:
How about a word that sounds like concrete structures that hold up large volumes of water, but used in different ways?
How about that historical word used to describe donkeys that now is used to talk of people you dislike or the body part that fills the back end of your trousers?

Looking for where the line is for when I want to call H20 a dang *censored*.

You know me Stang....I'm a fairly colorful person when it comes to language. I'm simply remind some here that have less courtesy than others to review the requests that Dale has made and leave it at that.

Wow, I didn't think my word would be censored... It was supposed to be a joke using words I thought were benign...

Sorry.  I've apparently reached a language level where even words I thought were appropriate are inappropriate...

What i find ironic is the site mods will refresh the rules about profanity etc and how this is a family site when there are threads that get heated and the filters are working overtime or people are using clever disguised words to swear. But there is a thread with memes that has swear words and inappropriate material in it.. :dunno:
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Here's the line you need to be concerned about:

"You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, name calling, belittling, obscene, profanity or intended profanity, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or in violation of any International, State, or United States Federal law."
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I edited your post. Using the filters to edit your post intentionally is not ok.
Thanks.

Or this seems more cut and dry. We're pretty much all adults here.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Time for a bump.

Mods are spending way to much time on this issue.  No profanity. Simple as that.  Don't avoid the censors.  Don't like it, don't post or take it up with the boss.

@Smossy

I cleaned up your viking thread a bit. Please revisit the rules regarding avoiding the filters. Drunk or stoned either way you gotta toe the line my friend.
