My Tribute to My Brother Fishseeker

This is hard to write even after a week has gone by since John passed away. We had just completed our two week "any bull" hunt in the Bethel unit when he had the surgery that finally took him from us. I have read all of the remembrances and condolences here on the Hunt-Washington board and I want you all to know how much it helps to know that you are all out there and really care and hurt along with us. Your prayers were felt by us all.
John was a true outdoorsman all his adult life. His dedication to teaching all he knew to the younger generation was unmatched by anyone. He was always there to help teach a kid to bait a hook, learn to cast or help them to understand the correct way to handle a firearm. I just hope that I can live up to that part of his life, even though he was younger than me he could fish circles around me.
I have had a lot more success with the rifle but not the fishing pole.
John was a promoter of this website for a long time. He told everyone about it.
I have posted some pictures I took on our elk hunt. I usually take a lot of pictures but for some reason this year I didn't.

Thanks for sharing. Sorry again for your loss.

It sounds like you and many others were fortunate to have him in your lives, even if for too short a time.

I was sorry to hear this, but fishseeker left something for everyone to remember him by on his profile. "Take a kid hunting or fishing, Pass it on, it's not yours to keep!"
Thanks fishseeker for your words of wisdom!
