New bow help
« on: December 03, 2008, 11:07:26 AM »
Well I am coming back to sticks and strings after 4 years using the old smoke pole. I have been out checking out the bows out there and like the x-force and drenalin, but I have not been able to get my hands on a alpamax. that is one other bow I want to look at. If you have any of these bows tell me what the pros and cons of these bows that you have found while hunting with them. i am trying to narrow it down to ONE. I want to get them all but we all know about that.  Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks

does anybody own a x-force ss? If so how is it compared to the x-force havent found an ss to shoot

I see you are in Eatonville, I know Rainier Archery will get boos and hisses from some of the folks on this sight but I know they have the Hoyt Alpha max 32 & 35 that they will let you shoot. The Hoyt is a much nicer bow to shoot IMO than the PSE X-Force. They don't carry PSE, but they also have Bowtech, Mathews, Mission and Elite you can shoot and compare.
Shut up and Hunt!

I second the alphamax, I have a alphamax 35.. great bow, super quiet, fast, insanely accurate and very lightweight, not to mention tough as nails..... and thats not just because I shoot hoyt.. they make a amazing bow and always come out with new technology thats as good as it gets, just remember.. they test the risers for 1500 dryfires and the limbs for 1000..... and after all that if its still good then its a hoyt....... how do you think ANY other bow company would do?

 :bdid:

I purchased my first mathews from them when I first moved here 11 years ago.   :bdid:  Once the $$$ was in their hands, the service was terrible.  I have never been back, and I would have asked for my $$$ back if I thought it was worth the trouble.

Sticksandstrings, I know your pain I went their once and will not go back. I do not know maybe I caught him on a bad day. I should go just to shoot a alphamax. I WILL not buy equipment from him. I guess it is like any other place some people like him some don't. :twocents: :twocents:

:bdid: :bash: :chuckle:  I would go check out some of the new BowTech's before you make your final decision... The new Sentinel and Captain are great bows.  They are very smooth and forgiving.  Just my  :twocents: :chuckle:
