The only thing I can think of that remotely fits what you're looking for is buying an access permit or lease to private timber land.  Even then, you'll like be stuck shooting a "crappy" bull if you are lucky enough to find one in the road.

I just want to make sure that we are on the same page.

You are looking for the following:
   - 6x6 bull or better
   - Over the counter unit
   - High harvest success
   - ATV access
   - Minimal people, but you will have to be near a road for your ATV as you can't hike
   - You are disabled but hunt alone? (just curious what you will do if you actually shoot something)

If this is really what you are looking for then I'm thinking you are SOL. I would say go on a ranch hunt because what I lined out above doesn't exist. If you want a bull you have to look at the north east corner or the west side. The northeast corner is close to you but a real challenge unless you can really cover some ground on foot or have insider information. As mentioned get in on one of the weyerhauser or tree farm permits would be your only real shot as far as I can tell.

Everything you said. No fence hunting, I don't believe in them. Bull size doesn't matter that much. But why waste 12 points on a smaller bull that I could shoot anyhow keeping my points. If I shoot one, i can take care of it alone. Did it before, now it would take longer. As for the NE corner, I actually do have insider info, but never put it to use. AND, I'm looking at moving out-of-state and want to use my points.

I've pretty much always hunted and done things alone. I don't like having to babysit other people..... :chuckle:
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

My suggestion is a fully outfitted, out of state, private land hunt.  :twocents:

I thought the way some of you guys talked on here, buying a timberland access permit was a horrible deal. I used to buy the Champion ones all the time when I lived near Kapowsin. It was great.

I'd shoot a crappy bull, if I wasn't possibly going to use 12 precious points and loose them. I'm a horn hunter with points and a meat hunter without points...makes perfect sense to me

No such place exists.  I wouldnt recommend SW Helens herds.  Rag horns and herd culled.? Only maybe a Mudflow, Loowitt permit?  Im sure all elk wont be dead.  6x5 pretty respectable bull.  A bigger one is a challenge for sure.  White river/Green river area could be up your alley if you can draw.  I think its closest your gonna get bud.
MAGA!  Again..

PM sent.

Personally, I don't think I could stand going to the westside to hunt. I'm so used to no traffic and no people. Everything depends on me getting drawn for a multi-season elk tag, then figure it out...

Why do you need the multi season if you're staying on the east side?

Your chances of getting a non "crappy" bull are better on the eastside. With 12 points your odds of drawing the best permits are poor (less than 1 in 100 in some of the quality hunts), but I would apply in the Blue Mountains.

You can find some good DNR disabled land to hunt. You would be surprised what you will find. Stay away from the popular units.

That's the main reason I quit elk hunting near anyplace close to Seattle. Waaaaay to many people for my taste.

Right. But I just don't get why the multi-season tag is required, when what you're really wanting to do is use up your 12 quality elk points. Unless I mis-understood? Are you really wanting to hunt archery, muzzleloader, and rifle seasons?

What I would do, if I was moving out of state and had 12 points to use, and knowing now that you don't want to go to the westside, I'd apply for relatively easy to draw muzzleloader permits in the Yakima area. Peaches Ridge would be okay and Observatory might be your best bet since it's more open to ATV use than some of the others.
