You all are painfully funny! Sure wish I didn't live in Mississippi so I could visit her shop. I recently retired from the Coast Guard and sent her a really nice bear I took in AK.

She had one of mine for a little over three years. I didn't actually  bring it to her but my taxidermist used her to rug while he did the work. Took a lot of bitching  to get it done and I was paid up in full. On the plus side when or if you do ever get it back she does really good rugs if that's Ny comfort

It's just that this same kind of thread keeps showing up for the same taxi.  Only real difference is you said yours was already tanned.

My buddy got his bear back from her a week or two ago.  It only took her 4 and 1/2 years to finish it.  So you probably have at least another year before you get yours back.  On the bright side my buddies bear looks awesome.

I haven't had any problems getting ahold of her over the last 3 months or so.  I can't remember the exact date I dropped off my Bear.  It was after the first of this year.  I have called her at least 3 times. Once she picked right up, 2 other times she called back with in an hour or so.

That bear is kind of chubby.   You'd think in Alaska you could find one in better shape.

I am having difficulty getting a call back from Michelle Nelson's Taxidermy. I have been calling, emailing and texting her for over 3 weeks. Also what is a reasonable amount of time to get a bear rug done by her? I sent her a tanned black bear 3 years 10 months ago, I was told two years ago she was working on it. Then last July I was told it would be done by Christmas, now she will not contact me. I am the customer and trying to get a realistic update. She has my bear and $350, am I asking to much to get her to return my phone calls? Any advice?

3 WEEKS ago was about when she surfaced on here and then disappeared as usual..then gets on here with a sob story and a multitude of excuses.

There are lots of guys who do great rugs

Oh boy, here we go.

Sorry man, I hope you get it back soon.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
