What place on the west side is better?
« on: September 21, 2007, 07:12:56 PM »
I am going to go modern-rifle hunting on the west side of Washington this year, and I am curious whether the Mount Adams/Mount St. Helen's area or the Lewis River area is better.  What do you think?

It depends upon what you are hunting.

I don't get it, the Lewis River is kind of in between Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams.

I'm new to Washington, but thought that Lewis river was straight south from Seattle, and Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Adams was south east.

Its a big unit. I hunt from Adams to St Helens.  It also contains the packwood unit.  If you have an idea of where you want to hunt i can PM and let you know if its any good.  Be prepared for lots of hunters.  If it snows early it will be a good year.
