2015/2016 Duck & Goose Hunt Pictures
« on: November 24, 2015, 08:41:36 PM »
Been noticing more and more posts going up for good hunts this season. I thought a general thread would be nice.

I decided to skip out of work early today. I just had one of those feelings my spot with the current conditions would be hot. Two man limit in 1 hour. Still working on my dogs photogenics, this will be her first full season. Hopefully by the end of the season she will be accustomed to taking pictures with limits.  8)

Ended up with a fun hunt with the wife today. Together ended the day with 14 ducks and 1 goose between the two of us. The wife finished the duck hunt with a triple shooting an over under shotgun.... Pretty impressive, considering most guys get excited when they shoot a triple with 3 shells. Overall great day!

An illegal limit always makes the best first limit.

It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

You guys are right, I wasn't aiming for the "brown duck" but it went down anyways. I shouldn't call it a limit. I made a mistake but I'm not going to leave it out in the field. My bad.

Today my dog found three cripples that someone else must not have been able to find. They were all in different spots. He seems to find cripples almost every time we go out.

That's a good looking dog you have GSP. Also Hecto, I had that happen once, but chose not to post the picture. :bdid: But I did hunt with a guy one time that showed me where he barried his extra hen one afternoon at our hunting spot the previous time he went out.... So I am glad you didn't do that haha.

Maybe that would have been the best choice... I've never got more than 2 in a day before so I'm just super excited. Have to make sure I'm more careful next time. Shucks what happens if you get a double on the number 7 duck, do you leave it behind? Of course not.

Or you only drop one bird and not try for the double...???

While I appreciate you you not mud stomping the extra hen, I wouldn't post pics of a crime.
