Quick follow up for those that care, but also a big Kudos..
I sent contact us form in on Summit website asking about a way to identify the stand. I did that on Sun night. Early Monday morning I got a response back fro their customer support asking a few questions about the stand itself as well as pictures if I had any. sent pictures and had a response back within an hour. They needed more information so I measured what they asked and then stumbled on serial numbers which I provided them. Again I had a response 1st thing the next morning that I have a Viper x5 built in 2005!
I must say the promptness and helpfulness of the response was quite nice to see. They did not make $ from me, and as far as they know may never, but they helped me quickly and professionaly. If I ever need another stand, it will be a Summit/API just based on the build of the one I have and especially the Mfg support.
