RIP Emma....
« on: August 15, 2016, 09:34:26 AM »
we all have it happen.. and it still stings a lot every time when we lose our hunting partner... she had a good life and killed a lot birds... faithful to the very end 14 years 9 days old. RIP girl..  the video (bottom attachment) is my son Matthews first rooster last year... Emma was a year old the day I brought Matthew home from the hospital... him killing a bird over her meant everything to me!

:'(  So tough, but like you said, you have 14 years and 9 months of memories and the knowledge that she had a great life, as great as any dog could wish for. The hurt will go away eventually, but the memories won't, and that's a good thing.

Nicely done Emma, nicely done.  Glad you were able to spend your life doing what you enjoyed doing.  I betcha you're gonna have a ball in pup heaven; I heard you can hunt/chase a different species of critter each day there, can roll in the dirt whenever you wish, have many great choices for Bfast/Lunch/Dinner items, and have a triple stacker dog bed when you want to nap.  RIP Emma.

She was a beautiful dog.  Great pics.

Sorry for your loss.
May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

sorry man.  It's tough losing a good dog.  It looks like she had a good life for a hunting dog!

You are not alone Emma.
I came home Friday night from work to find my last good Chesapeake dead.
14 years and some days also.

My 9 year old son helped dig his final resting place and my 7 year old daughter threw a handful of pheasant tail feathers in for good measure.

They never got to see him in his hunting prime but they won't forget the lesson they learned Friday.

Bowgina I hope you fall in love with a new puppy soon.
Good luck.
