You shot that deer at 76 inches?
Like 6'4"?
That is just over two yards you know?  :chuckle:
He said it was at 5 yards for 30 minutes, my guess is he didn't have a 5 yard pin and had to aim a little high with his 2 yard pin.

Awesome story and way to get it done primitive style.  I am impressed that you could get that close.
arrow was just barely unnocked

Awesome buck
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Longbow, cedar arrow. 76inch shot distance. 40 yard recovery.

Always something I wanted to try bit never had the nerve. Very very impressive. Might be the deer I am most jealous of this year.
do it man you got almost a year to get ready. You have great group of trad guys at Flinttip in enumclaw get some mentoring you can do it.

the deer got that close. I just didn't move. A half hour under 5 yard because I wound not move to draw if the deer had line of sight to me. At one point this deer's ear was about three feet from my broadband.

Impressive for sure.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
