Nice buck for a nice guy that has spent a ton of money for wildlife and wildlife habitat over the years. Good for him.

That's a great buck.  198" is just amazing.  It is awesome to know that they are out there.  It would be great to hear the story.  I would love to be involved in one of these special hunts some day.  Until then I will cherish the ones that get during the general season.  You never know one day I might stumble across a buck like this in the general season.

Congrats to the hunter and please thank him for sharing with us all.

The guy that was with him is Ian Wood, he's just a friend of the tag holder who's hunted with him in past years when he's had the governors tag. He's a great guy

Id put any tag on that buck! Congrats on a great deer! Buck of a lifetime for most people! If he shot a spike with that tag on the last day that's his choice....Like others have said it's always nice to get a big buck but having a great hunt is always better  I ate my general tag this year but helped 5 others get their deer and I'll have those memories of their excitement for the rest of my life. To each their own but it's not always about size. But that is a giant buck!
