Yes, we can do one on the eastside. We ALWAYS have one in Cashmere at the Annual rendezvous. We can do others if we have enough people.

Can you guys do one on the east side

I just talked with Bernie Nelson (Eastside Trapper Training Instructor) and he said that he is putting one on March 11th.
I think he said that he is going to hold it in Idaho.  Check with him maybe he is putting it on in Coeur d” Alene, I didn't ask where he use holding it.

For the rest of you that are interested, it looks like we will be holding ours (Ed's and mine) in April.
Stay tune we will give you the date later.

Hi Guys
I talked with Cabela's today, it looks like it might be third or forth Saturday or Sunday weekends of April.
Ed and I are going to talk and see if we can find a different place for maybe the end of March. "OR"
Would the end of April be okay with you guys?

I need all of you that are interested in attending a class to drop me a PM with your name, address and phone number so I can contact you with the date and place.

I would like to get my trapper cert, but Marysville is a bit to far for me to travel and April is booked solid for me. Do you know if there are any classes planed for say the Olympia area?

Thanks
John

I took the trapping class probably 40 yrs ago.  I'm guessing that a call to the WDFG and can get a copy of my card.  I have not seen it in many yrs. but will need one if I move on with my plan to start trapping.  Grew up trapping with my dad, and as  I get older find myself thinking about catching critters like my dad did but with cage traps.  Catching a cat with a cage sounds like a hoot to me.  Not sure if this will happen, as I don't seem to have time for all the things I like to do now.

There will be a class in the Olympia area but it will likely be late in the year.

If you have ever taken the class or had a WA trappers license your name should be in the system. You do not need the card. When you buy the license the system will approve you based on WDFW records.

Of all things I do and some on here know I don't stop!  Trapping cats and pine marten are my favorite !! I do believe that once you catch either one of the two you're hooked plain and simple! It definitely is not the same as laying a trap line out of true steel but what's cool with the cages is if the cat or marten is not nice furred or young or a female ( I release all females ) you can open the door and they are no worse for the wear
