Another picture of it.
The plate is 1VM. Not a special ordered plate either but a collector edition. My mother said is stands for '1 vicious Mustang'. Pretty cool that they got that number.

Latest project, it was passed on to me by some very old and close family friends.  It was last driven in 1985 and parked in a garage where it sat until I pulled it out a couple months ago.

I haven't had time to check if the engine is frozen from sitting, but at the least is a complete tune, oil change and have to get a battery.

The brakes were not frozen, which surprised me, but they are also not working at all, so a complete brake redo.

Have to drain the "varnish" from the gas tank, may even need a new tank at this point.

Very little rust on it with a couple dime sized spots that have rusted through so far.  But I have just not had time to dig into it correctly.

Somehow I didn't realize 85 was thirty some years ago lol hope it's all in good enough shape it doesn't take too much to get her running. I've always hated having to flush out the old bad gas but I've never had to do it that old. Good luck!

85 30 some years ago  :bash:   :chuckle:

Might be worth trying to run it. That old 80s gas is far better than the junk we have now.

That car wash is kinda handy. Just wish they had a bit more pressure. Nice project!

right up my alley, love restoring cars.  These are my last few projects I bought. Going to keep my red nova. It's going to get a disc ford 9" from Currie and a GM crate 350 425HP.

Not to much of a Hot Rod but a long time in the restoration.
That’s a beauty of an unstyled!

Oh tractors....you just had to bring that one up!
Well, I did one of them a few years ago too.
It seemed like the parts would never end.
Sure looks nice now though.
It was a huge project for a buddy.
I also restored his dump truck a couple years before that.
