It's crazy how high the resale is on these used.  One of the reasons I went new.  Wasn't much difference  + the interest on new for 4 years was only 1.99 %.

To the OP, congrats on the new truck, nice looking setup especially with the matching canopy.  I have a similar setup on my 13 Taco.

I've got a 2013 Taco that I've been thinking about selling and getting a new Raptor but all this talk about Toyota's lasting forever is making me rethink it.  Hmmm.
FWIW my father in law has a 2016 f-150 lariat and loves it and still has an early 2000s f-150 he's driving to the ground, hasn't had many problems to my knowledge.

But IMHO that's the exception, not the rule for American made trucks. But hey I could be wrong that's just from what I've seen/heard

That's part of it too!! Because everywhere selling used toyotas realize that a couple years old Toyota will last as long/longer than most other new trucks they can continue to sell them quite high in comparison to other trucks that lose value and fast

I do love it already.  I've owned a couple with the 4.0 liter v6 and this 3.5 v6 is definitely different but I think it will work out just fine.

All of the reviews I have read everyone hates the 3.5 with the automatic.  I'll be interested in how you like it.

Nice truck, you'll love those tires in mud and snow, they are what I'm running.

Thought you were mocking Toyota then looked it up. Camry and Sienna were 2 of the "most American cars" lost last year and ford wasn't on it at all  :yike:

I have 373,000 miles on my 99 4runner 3.4L. It's still running strong and I don't see any quit in its future. It still has its original fuel pump and starter but I did finally have to do the alternator last year. I drive 40k miles a year and I'm going to drive it til it dies. Then I'm going to give it a refresh and do it all over again.

I've got about the same miles on my 2003. 384K. V6. Would you rebuild or get a remanufactured?  I'm starting to think how I might go about this. But for now I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across U.S.

Great truck! My only regret on my '09 Taco is I didn't get the quad cab. You'll be happy for a long time.
