Is yours an e-bike or standard bike?

Your local bike shop is a great place to get info- just like a local sporting goods store those are people who live their hobby.

As far as online sources of info, I have been a member of bikeforums.com for over 10 years and is a wealth of information. For your needs, I would take a look at the touring section. Careful on there though...imagine hunt-wa but instead full of cyclists.  :chuckle:

I'm also a few years behind the curve on tech, but I worked a couple years in a bike shop and would be happy to offer any info if you have specific questions.

What bike shop in Spokane do you recommend?

Was checking out Rad Rover, not quite as expensive as the others.

These look pretty good for the price. The others I've seen that look comparable are twice as much $$.

My bike is not an e-bike.  It is really great in the woods and plenty of gears to get you through most of the stuff you need.  It is HEAVY but very robust.  I bought a Cogburn fatbike and have been very happy with it so far!  Hope the pic comes through.

Well I'm no longer looking for a electric mountain bike as they are legal on Washington state roads up to 1000 watts BUT ARE ILLEGAL on Washington fish & wildlife; BLM; DNR and USFS and US wildlife refuges land except where motorcycles and off road vehicles are allowed. They are considered motorized and you will get a ticket and maybe have the bike confiscated.

So all the information in recent magazines articles and information I got from bicycle shops is all wrong.
