Awesome. Didn't you have a couple of tan colored hounds last year? I thought I remember a picture of your yota and tan hounds?

Yep their mine! Still got em. One of them was sitting right by me watching that lion when I took the pic of the black dog freeing. Kain is a sit back tree dog  he likes to watch it in the tree, his dad was the same way.

Awesome!!!  Tell me a little bit about your dogs!!

Hard for me to say just a little bit  :chuckle:

That black one on the tree is Dexter he is just over a year old and he is incredible, he would strike and run bear himself at 6 months old but he never treed until that lion.

The brindle one is a 5 year old plott I had given to me that didn't know how to tree or really do anything in my opinion but I ran her with dogs and worked with her alone for a few months and she started picking things up. She now does it all and fits in perfect.

Kain is my best dog he caught 8-10 bears by himself last spring and a few the spring before at a year old, he's caught dry ground lions by himself and lots of snow lions. He does everything well and is the backbone of my pack at less than 3 years old. He is out of my boyhood dog and is my buddy now that his dad was killed by wolves almost 2 years ago, he filled his shoes well and has surpassed his mom in skill in almost everyway. He's 3/4 plott 1/4 walker.

Chrissy is a 2 year old English dog I had given to me as a pup. She is a good all around dog she will catch bear on her own but I haven't yet given her the opportunity on a cat, she's small and can run all day even when it's getting hot.

That's the 4 that I had with me on that lion Monday  :chuckle:

That's great!!!! I love plott hounds. I had one that I was starting with great lines when we lost the hound hunting here. I am really bummed, I didn't get to go hunt him on bears. His dad was killed by a big lion when he was a pup and he was a great dog from my understanding and helped catch a lot of critters. I know how much hard work goes into it and some of my dads good friends were great hound hunters. Thank you for sharing.
