Randy Newberg Dall Sheep
« on: September 08, 2018, 07:12:47 AM »
Randy was worried about people not liking this hunt because it’s not self guided but dang... Wrangles are no joke. Amazing country, 360 views, epic hunt. Definitely recommend watching it on YouTube.
The videos are dropping daily and they are on day 5 right now.

My only sheep hunt was guided back in the Alaska Range back in 07.  I have no shame being guided on that hunt.  Even if it wasn’t a requirement to have a guide, I wouldn’t have gone the self guided route on a remote hunt like that.  Best investment I ever spent.

No but he did hike to base camp with them.   Don’t know why a guy would pack that kinda weight for a camp shoe🙄

I like Randy. Watched his shows for years and listen to his podcasts. It’s a shame he has to defend going on a guided hunt but that’s how today’s judgmental society works.

:bash: doubt many people that are complaining can even hunt like him at 50%.

The thought of anyone judging Randy for his hunting choices is kind of laughable.

Great hunter and great guy.

Cool hunt for sure.

Are people actually criticizing him or is he worried that people might criticize him?

Aren't non-residents required to have a guide for the white sheep in AK anyway?

Non residents have to have a guide. It’s the law. Sheep, goats and brown bears all have to have. A guide.

In a podcast he talked about how his mission statement is unguided public land and how this trip would go against his mission. He rejected the trip then took the opportunity after a friend said he was crazy

Well I agree with his friend. It's the only way for a non-resident to hunt Dall Sheep in Alaska. Go with a guide...who cares!!

I like watching Randy. Good dude and he hunts hard. Always wondered what liver problem he has? It’s flared up on him on a few of his hunts.

Wouldve been nice if it was only 3 or 4 episodes but worth watching.
