Any recommended archery shops near Spokane?
« on: December 07, 2018, 10:15:39 AM »
Were going to get my 12 yo a compound for Christmas. I know very little about archery and don't want to just get something.

Is Cabela's, Sportsman's Warehouse, or North 40 good places, or would n independent shop be better?

I would go to Black Sheep in Couer D Alene.
They have always been helpful for us

Does anyone have the low down on this one?

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Camod-Arrow/125498664171207

Camo'd Arrow.  It is south of Colville, which is a bit of a ways from Spokane.

You can PM me (and OP, I suppose) if you don't want to air here.  Sorry to OP if this is a thread jack.  Let me know and I will remove it to a new thread.

Colville is a little far for me to travel, but if the info helps others I’m good with it.

Lady Red at Camo'd arrow is great! a bit of a drive, but she's wonderful. If you're looking for a super adjustable bow, North 40 (on hwy 2) has lots of bows, as do both Sportsman's Warehouse locations. Both have youth bows in stock. Not sure if Lady Red does.

She does.  I stopped in today.  Super nice and helpful.  Appears to be a Hoyt shop and she gave me a run down on the Hoyt adjustable youth bow, Fireshot, I think it was for my boy.

We'll be in again after the first of the year to begin getting him set up.

:yeah: I'm not a Spokane or CDA local, but we bought my wife's bow at black sheep about 3 years ago and they were awesome.

Since Whitetail plus closed in Deer park, I have reverted back to Spokane Valley Archery.  The new techs they have in the shop have improved the culture immensely and was impressed with the work they did for me last spring.  I will be going back. I used to be one of the naysayers on this shop, so it took a great deal of swallowing of pride to not only go back, but to give a positive recommendation.

The tech at the sportsmen’s warehouse in Spokane valley is pretty good he used to work at the black sheep.... otherwise I’d go to black sheep the tech is pretty good at his job possibly a bit arrogant but they do a pretty good job and have good deals on bows.

Bought a Diamondback Infinate Edge today from SVA.
Wife and I were greeted right as we came in the door and the young guy that helped us was very nice and helpful. We’ll see how they are when we go back for tuning and the included lesson.

Maybe, just maybe I'll swing back there someday then....
