All in all, it was a great time with family and friends. Lots of good time and 17 Tom's in 4 days. Plus my 3 year old daughter caught her first fish, absolutely priceless! I hope all are having fun and enjoying the season! It's fun seeing everyone's success and reading the stories. Good luck and God bless!!!

My girlfriend just started hunting last year, and this is her first kill besides grouse. I'm definitely proud of her, and it was an awesome experience being there when she took her first turkey.

Harleyboss, is your double choked mod & full, and is it a 2-3/4" chamber? I have an old Elsie 16ga choked Imp. cyl & mod, and two old Nickel Steel Model 12's in 16ga. The 12's are choked full and the other light mod. A few years ago I took a Rio at about 20-25 yards with high brass 6's with the 1917 Model 12, which has the old 2-9/16" chamber. I used RST shells for it. I'd love to hunt with the other two guns because they are 2-3/4" chambers, but I'm a little concerned about them not being choked full, although I have to admit I have not patterned them. This spring season, though, is dedicated to my recently acquired Model 97 12 gauge, which was built in 1914. Oncve I have a turkey under it's belt I will probably shift back to my 16 gauge guns. Sorry, all over the map there.....

Some great birds coming in folks - congratulations!  I'm stuck at work until next week then it's NE corner bound for some runnin' and gunnin'!!
