How to scrap/recycle an old RV
« on: June 05, 2019, 08:47:19 AM »
Inherited an old 1990 Tioga Ford motorhome.  Hasn't been run in several years and is basically worthless.  How does one get rid of an RV like this?  Has a generator and a under 5000 miles transmission connected to the 460 but I'd hazard they all need work as it has sat for 15 years.  I'm not looking to smash it down myself.... anyone know of a vendor or group that will take projects like this on?

I’m sure there’s a homeless person looking for this exact vehicle right now.🤣

On the serious side GLWR.🤔

These folks are out of your area, but they may know of a place local to you that can help.  Might be worth a call to ask.

Or if only mechanical issues and is otherwise livable, maybe try here:

Good luck, they are a pain and generally expensive to get rid of, that is why so many are abandoned.

A couple saws, a sledge or 2, and some chain.... took us about 4 hours to get it tore apart, and loaded onto a flatbed for disposal at the landfill...
