I leave next friday and can’t contain myself. I’m super stoked. Just gotta get through a couple days of work and then a week of chasin mulies in the rut.

Yeah dude, I leave on Friday too! I’m suuuuper stoked that the weather warmed up just a bit in the area I’m going. Low 20’s for the overnight lows and mid to low 30’s for the daytime highs and so far no rain/snow in the forecast. I was a little worried about negative degree temps. So stoked, first time hunting mule deer in MT!

The colder it is the more the deer have to be out finding food to stay warm. Makes hunting better.

Well last year when I was there it was -3°, so 35° sounds better. As long as the bucks are still out chasing does.

Ah gotcha! Makes perfect sense.. not gonna lie, I was a little worried though about the sub-zero temps I’ve heard so much about..

I'm in s.e. mt not a lot of rut sign. Need to b careful getting off roads into the gumbo. Where we r at a few more hunters then we r used to. Still seeing quite a few bucks just nothing we've been willing to shoot yet. Got till next friday so we will hold out for a mature buck.

Lots of bucks chasing single does, but nothing too serious.

Haven’t found a great buck yet but We are here through Friday.

Sadly we don't leave until the 16th .
