Those things are super heavy duty.  You’ll break before the pack does :chuckle:

Used the Alps frame for hauling my deer out this year.  A lot easier than dragging it through the brush.  The pack was comfortable and supported the weight easily.  I actually prefer an external frame pack over an internal frame.

I hunt with mine on all day since it is so light and easy to carry.  Besides I dont want to make an extra trip back to get it.

Man I'll tell you this.. If you can save the money, go for a premium pack.  I've hunted with several different packs and I always avoided that Kool-Aid.  After I finally bit the bullet and picked up an Exo, my life changed! 

Mystery Ranch, Kifaru, Stone Glacier, Exo, etc.  Great packs.  Yes, they're more than $150.  If you can hold out and save, your back sure will appreciate it.

do you guys hunt with your pack frames? i hunt with a badlands 2200, it feels so heavy lol not sure what all i pack in it. but my plan is to take a pack of meat out in our packs, and then come back in with the packframe that can hold more. is this the common pratice, some places we hunt, i think it would be easier to just hunt with the pack frame for the day, wouldnt that save potentially an extra trip?

This was my mindset when i went to idaho this year with my exo pack. Go in with exo pack, harvest elk, come back with bull pac for lots of meat... not necessary with a great pack/frame combo like exo, kifaru, stone glacier, or mystery ranch. My Exo is much more comfortable than the bull pac and hauled as much meat as i could stand. These packs are so light and strong.
