Were not out of the water just yet.
Ghost bill, HB2947
Calling it an emergency bill, harder to repeal and prevents referendum!

This is some serious tyranny playing out. Time to refresh the tree.

HB 2947 Just introduced. It has all the magazine bans and limitations along with a magazine buy-back. Everyone slapping each other on the back should know better with our shady government. Time to get back on the horn and let them know how you feel....again.

Do nothing and lose everything! I know a lot of hunters that do nothing because they either don't have semi automatic guns or just don't think it will make a difference. Everyone needs to stick together bow Hunters bird Hunters fisherman everyone needs to be active against gun control. You give an inch they take a mile.

Agreed and unfortunately there are a lot of gun owners that don't care if the gov takes the AR15s. I have seen gun owners on tv say "you don't need 20 bullets to hunt deer" which shows a lack of understanding of the 2A.

Well anyways if this passes it will be a wake up to a lot of gun owners. This is because 17 round 9mm magazines will no longer be legal. You can use them when hunting or target shooting but they have to be locked up during transport. So you can't walk around with a loaded 9mm and say you were on the way to squirrel hunting.

Some of these gun owners will have to go down to 10. This is because only two other states cap at 15 so there isn't enough demand for every model. I would be really cautious about buying full sized 9mm handguns in this state.

I was surprised to get a email back from Mark Mullet.

I appreciate you writing in your opposition to House Bill 2947. I do not support bills that attempt to go around the regular legislative process, especially ones that are of such consequence. This bill would still have to go through committee hearings and public testimony in the House and the Senate, but since session ends in about three weeks I don’t see the bill being viable.

Best,
