See it pretty much every year. Guess it's a common thing to do.

I would guess this is illegal but I don't know.  Definitely seems to be gaming the system in a way that is not desirable in the long run.
I know I've lost it, let me know if you come across it

The entire point system is not desirable in the long run.

Pretty common on some other forums lately. See it talked about with Wyo quite a bit.

I've split points with friends in Nevada and Wyoming (used my points/used their points), but I don't like the "selling points" thing.

Next year, my little brother is splitting his points with me so we can go hunt Wyoming together.   To me, this is what the point sharing rule should support (friends/family hunting together).

Becoming more common in OR lately.  Point creep and reducing animal numbers are causing some folks to stop doing the points thing, and consider what to do with their pile of points.  Keep buying every year or try to sell their point usage.

Have seen guys claiming to have gotten $500 and up to $1000 for using their points like this.  The non resident guy in that ad has it harder due to the non-resident quotas and his points not being high enough for the really good draws.   He's going to struggle to recover the years of license costs and points apps.  And is competing against residents doing the same thing, whose points are more valuable due to the nonres quotas.

I'm moving back to OR now, and wish there was a way to donate my WA points to a worthy cause hunter.  Would be neat if WA would allow a points transfer donation.  Problem is I'll probably be a nonres by the time the WA draws open in April, so doing the "group app" thing isn't going to be much help.  And am unlikely to pay the $110/app fee to keep building points.
