makes me kind of wish we would have put our 6 elk points towards one of the better draw hunt applications. Maybe less guys applied than years past

I decided not to apply for mt this yr. Lost hrs at work and the uncertainty of this virus made me put family first.

Sorry to hear that but good on you. If hunting ever puts a strain on your family you have to do the right thing.

Traffic attorney.  Probably cost you more than the ticket, but will most likely get it killed and off your record.  Probably $200. Probably will need info from the ticket and your $ and that will be all you have to do. If it is a non moving violation, just against the vehicle, not you, then probably just pay it and move on if it is about minimizing hassle.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

Man, been waiting all year for our ID bear hunt. Not sure what will happen

Nothing . In my opinion we won’t have any change to bear season. One thing might ban non-essential travel from other states but bear hunt is essential! :chuckle:

I think Idaho realizes a segment of folks in Idaho use hunting/fishing for food.  IMO, Washington thinks outdoors is all leisure/recreation.  The politicians here are so removed from the land and from people that are, that they can't fathom someone not wanting to drink soy lattes and write code all day long.  Everybody's living traces back to the land (or sea), I guess some aren't lucky enough to see it.

I worry about Idaho’s bear season after Alaska came out today and canceled their bear seasons statewide. Bad precedent for all hunting seasons this year

will still be hunting no matter what. How I put meat in my freezer. You imagine the burden it would put on this country if millions of hunters now had no meat and decided to shop at the store? hell look at the shelves recently with hunters who had meat already.

Save your money I highly doubt very many states are going to allow non-resident hunts, Washington going to stop it for both I bet. It is the smart thing to do, those small hunting towns do not have the capacity to handle a outbreak. They don't want most of you there anyways

Yup.  Hope this doesnt turn into a kind of deal where one state does it, the rest do so ss not to appear complacent.

On another note, im pretty damn shocked alaska did that.  I could see them canceling for non residents, considering how isolated they are, but canceling residents too is pretty surprising

Maybe too many of the residents hunting spring bear were from Anchorage nearby MatSu?  Didn't want them all spreading it across the state.

There are going to be some states that realize they probably don't want to be one of the only places open for hunting.

I bought my tags before I had even heard of corona,  so I'm not going to let them just burn a hole in my pocket.

I'm going, unless things change, but if the Rona is still going strong I won't use any facilities in Idaho, no shopping no nothing,  and will carry everything from home that I could possibly need.
