Anyone have experience hunting Long Island in Willapa bay?  Sounds like a good adventure hunt.

Hunted it a lot back in the day.  Was very brushy.  Came face to face with more than one bear pushing through the salal.  They can have a surprised expression on their face that is pretty funny, not at the moment you are crapping yourself but back at camp after a shot and a beer.

It's not an easy hunt, there is a good herd on the island but you play peek a boo a lot.

Bring Hip boots, tide book, Best rain gear you have, and skeeter spray. I look at long island from the back of our property. I hunt archery and use skeeter spray or tcell. Just play the wind right. I know some will say no way and thats fine but I have been chewed up to many times.
