Citori,which gun do you like best for upland

My brother-in-law in Oregon (90% of his bird hunting is upland) has a Citori featherweight 20ga and it is a great gun.  Very light.

I use a Beretta Silver Pigeon 1 in 20 ga. With 28” Barrels.  It weighs in at 6.25 lbs which I why I carry it.  I have had it for the last 6 years and with 3” mags is more than enough gun IMO

Nothing against Citori’s at all, my 12 ga. I use at the range is a Browning Citori.

I'd look at the Browning 725 Feather in 20 gauge.  It comes in just under 6 lbs.  Outside the box I'd look at the Franchi Instinct.  It's also another lightweight shotgun.  I have both but the Instinct is a 28 gauge.

I hunted with a nova for a long time.  Now have a silver pigeon in a 12 ga.  I like it but wish I had a 20.  A 20 ga. is on my short list.  When I got my silver pigeon, I looked at the citori but it didn't fit as well.

Just remember there is no one gun good for every situation. I have a Citori Lightning for pheasant hunting but I don’t like it on the skeet range. I have a autoloader for chukar hunting. A sxs with long barrels for shooting at the range. A pump for duck hunting. I would still like to get sub gauge for hunting quail.  I like open chokes for hunting behind a pointer and tighter chokes when hunting behind a flusher. The most important part of getting any shotgun is fit and feel.

I have a Citori "Sporter" 12ga with 26in barrels and an English grip stock. I absolutely love it for pheasant and quail hunting. Its a little under 7.5 lbs loaded and I have no issue carrying it all day. Like Alex4200 said, it may not be the best gun for hammering away all day on the clays field but it is an excellent hunting gun.
