But my understanding is that you can still buy a non res license and deer and elk tags...you just can't buy a tag for something currently open or about to be open.? Am I wrong.

I don't think you can buy the hunting license itself.

You can,  just not the combo and 3 yr combo.

  I think this is correct, it's not on the list and you couldn't apply in the draws if you don't buy a hunt license.

I just checked, general hunting license and 3 year license where still available for me to purchase..I bet this won't take affect till tomorrow or Monday. Also deer, elk tags and permit options still showed available.

That’s because they are allowing purchase of general hunting license, 3 yr hunting license, deer & elk tags and controlled hunt applications. It’s already taken effect, go try to buy a bear or turkey tag right now.

Your probably right..but I thought the 3 year was one of the options put on hold..

3 year combination yes, because it would allow fishing which they don’t want people coming here to do right now

Yes, you can get your fall elk or deer, and hunt license if you wish.
