Well I have used

Dry grass east side
Moss west side
Pin needles east side
Alder leaves west side
Bandana once
Once there was nothing so I stripped and set in a cold stream to clean up. Close I ever came to biday.
And once while dressing out a deer the urge came and in a panic I carved off a chuck of deer hide.

But heck I am old and nasty.

My sambich lost one slice of bread once. Clean as a whistle! Prefer whole wheat. Some poor raven got a nasty meal. :yike:

Old mans beard would be my go to, but a rule of thumb is you never leave the truck without a roll of 2 ply and baby wipes. Always have to have a *censored* kit in the pack or tucked in the hard hat.

Was out fishing on a river with my cousin one time. He looked at me and said, “hey dude, I’m prairie doggin Over here, ya got any TP”? I said, “nope”.  We had a 12 pk of beers with us that day on the river bank. He went over and ripped the side of the 12 pk cardboard package and sat on that damn river bank and worked that cardboard until it turned into a leather type material.. he then proceeded to do his business and said that beer package made for some of the best TP he’s ever used.. I just shook my head!

Years ago I was on a hunt with several buddies. We were all way down in a hole, but the area was visible from an upper road where we dropped of.  Well after a long night of celebrating a friends buck, I went through a 1/2 roll pretty quick that day. I had planned well and was carrying an extra pair of scooters, so the next go round after the TP was gone I used the pair I was wearing to do a thorough cleanup.
Standing butt naked in the woods it dawned on me that I could look uphill and see the road, so I took the used undies and hung them up like a flag in a jack pine. After finishing our hunt we had to take a rig back to the top to get the rig we dropped off from. I was driving so at a good vantage point I slammed on the breaks and shouted that I see a pig of a buck but need to set up the spotter to get a good look.
Well I played it out real good and said you guys gotta see this buck...……...I was not very popular with the group for a bit after that.

Always wondered if anyone ever came across my "Flag" in that tree.  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

One of my friends said a nice round river rock works great.

I saw a outdoor show where one of the people found a nicely rounded rock and said the same thing - never tried it.

Then what put it back in the river and let nature wash it for the next round. :chuckle: :chuckle:
