I fear that there has been not enough discription of this cable that is supplied on these traps by Koro.
This piece of cable is a peerless POS. It is easily broken with a slight tug. If a Marten can break a fastener, that fastener is weak! 2 out of 6 Marten breaking a fastening device should say it all.Get rid of that cable and replace it with different cable, light chain, or wire. Any hardware store sells light chain and different fasteners for it. Cripes the shoelace off your daughters made in Korea Tennyshoes would be stronger than Koros cable. I think you guys selling Koros should be removing this niggardly cable out of the box before you sell the trap.
Set for the weasel, but anchor for the bear.

I agree the cables on all my koro traps get cut off and I add a chain to the back
Never lost another animal

And I added striker bars

Even a grinner it gets just fine

Now thats a very good set up, Jakeland. Thanks for showing that. With a chain a guy could develope a terminal anchor, say chain wraped around a limb, then a quick link closed with a wrench. This way a thief is going to need tools and time to steal your trap.

I will be replacing the cable! Thanks again for the pictures and replies.
