WTB 28 gauge
« on: August 07, 2020, 11:39:32 AM »
I am looking to purchase a 28 gauge to mess around with this bird season. Preferably an over under but I am open to semi as well. I am hoping to find something a little higher end than the savage/mossberg/Tristar route. I would say something in the +\- $1000 range. Iíve been looking at Franchi new and used for reference. Let me know if you have something that will fit the bill. I am located in Spokane. Thanks!

My wife already has a Mossberg SA-20. From what Iíve gathered itís the same gun as the the weatherby. Thatís one of the driving factors in getting a little higher end gun than the normal options.

Side note, does anyone have an idea on the value of a Franchi Veloce 28?

Yes no problem, $190 for the tooling if it's a 375. I got 20 gauge tooling two weeks ago. I'm now running 4 375's 28/410, 20/12, 12 3" & 3 1/2 and another in 10 Ga. If you need a tool head, I have an extra. The cost new is $96.25, I'll let it go for a lot less for a HW member.

I modified my first post with the link and a tool plate. You are close to Rathdrum ID, just call and ask for Susan she'll get you setup. If you need any help with the setup send me an IM and I can talk you through the change out process if needed.
