WTB Trapline Pup
« on: August 30, 2020, 09:40:52 AM »
Hi all, looking for a good prospect for a trapline dog.  Would prefer a Airedale/smaller terrier mix, but I am open to suggestions.  If you know of any pups or of any future breedings, please let me know.  Thanks!

Look into German Jagdterrers. I had them 20 years ago and just picked up a puppy out of Oregon in April... Super smart, very gamey, and extremely tough... plus small enough to ride in your lap to dump on game real quick.....

Yep lots of guys have Jagds on their traplines, they are awesome for what I want as well.  I had an Aussie, she was the sweetest thing and smart too.

forgive my ignorance, but what is a trapline dog?  What function does it serve?  If a critter is already in a trap, wont you find out, dog or no?  Not trying to be a smartass, just genuinely curious.

For companionship, show you spots where fox, coyotes and wolves have peed, good set locations, finds animals in traps that are on drags.
