Ive noticed the henry .44 mag has a 20 twist, whereas im pretty sure all the marlins are 32 twist.  If youre wanting to shoot the big heavy hardcast ammo i would think the faster twist on the henry would do a better job of it.  Ive heard of this being an issue for people with the marlins, their sliw twist rate.

Marlins, the issue i have run into is with the microgrooving process they went thru a phase of putting this in barrels, i think some still are so be mindful... that does not like cast (from my experience) . i traded in and up for XLR's and they are deadly accurate. Latest developed load dropping cast bullets for CE 500gr safari solid bullet (45/70), with my lever it is extremely accurate max load (42gr 3031). sweetheart of a brushgun!

It's a gift for my father in law that wants the 44mag so he can have consolidated ammo between his pistol and a brush rifle.  Thanks for the input guys!
