Alkali Muzzy Starting Tomorrow
« on: September 20, 2020, 11:27:43 AM »
I will be out for the entire week, even with the few units that are open Iím still hoping to get in them although I have tempered my expectations to possibly having to shoot the first bull I see! My first quality tag and second year muzzy hunting.....Updates to come!!!

Sounds like the zones open for at least the first week are going to be very limited.  And the zones that are going to be don't seem to hold much elk. So I would shoot the first bull you see if you only got a week.

What will you be driving

Was in there for archery with a friend. Hopefully they are opening more units. At least the smoke should be gone for you.

Good deal.
I have popped a couple out there.   A lot of the roads are really good and no issue, but there are a couple places with really sharp rocks.

Enjoy your time out there.

Before the smoke rolled in and they shut things down yeah we saw elk and one bull even got a pass. Things got harder when everybody was forced into the same couple areas. It can happen though. Hunt hard and stay positive!

the archery hunters had all the prime units open for the better part of five days. There are a lot of bulls out there and some dandies. If you couldnít get one in those units in 5 days Iíd say there wasnít  proper scouting involved. All I heard and saw was archery hunters blowing out big bulls and forcing them into areas no one can hunt!
Happiness is being in the woods!!!
