I like that Ice axe
The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.

I just ordered a set to try out.  Thanks for the tip and the link.

With the Cimarron tent, the 4 corners typically need to be the most bomb-proof, and the sides and doors can be a little 'less' bomb proof.  The door stakes I like to put a little hi-vis/reflective cordage on it to ensure I don't kick it on the way in or out.

I also tie a longer glow-in the dark section of paracord to the zipper pulls.  I'm one of those guys in his late 40's who needs to get up several times a night....

I've got about every type of tent stake made. I consistently find myself using the Groundhog Mini's on most applications and the original Groundhogs when I need more strength. Too many unfavorable experiences with Ti Sheppard hooks and Ti Spikes working themselves loose.  :twocents:
