trapping the river

just throwing this out to the more experienced guys.

 Im looking to get out on the river a bit more this year. i hit the little off shoots and sloughs created off the river last season and did ok. any suggestions or setting on the main river itself? looking to trap beaver and otter. any info is appreciated. might save me a little trial and error (empty sets) if i have a better game plan going into the year.

Those off shoots, sloughs and small feeders are the places to trap the river. Every beaver or otter will travel up them at some time. Very seldom do you find a good place right in the actual river and you don't need to. Best places are just off the river.
