I guessed this guy at about 350.   His track would be Id'd by most as an elk.

When they dwarf mature does that are 30 yards closer than them, you know they're big. Great picture of a great animal Bone.

Thanks bigmacc.  I'm newer to deer hunting so those numbers seemed unbelievable compared to the deer I've seen.  Cool to know there are some monsters out there.

Good luck to the Chewuch Quality tag holders.  I'm envious.

So the huge tracks I saw running with doe tracks Sunday, 1/2 mile off Chewuch Rd was not Elk? :yike:

Congrats bigmacc on an Outstanding Buck!

This story is of an Idaho buck that my pops killed not a WA buck. Never got weighed live or hanging but got weighed after butchering. 275# of cut and wrapped meat. Scored 263 and change and was 42" wide. Aged at 11 years old. This is not a tale or BS

I personally have never killed a huge bodied buck, my sons first buck at the age of 12 had a bigger body than any I have ever killed :)

I can’t remember where I saw it, it may have been on here, but it looked like probably a 2.5-3.5 year old buck standing with a tank of a buck. The big one absolutely dwarfed the younger buck. There are some absolute giant deer out there.

I've only ever seen one in person that could qualify as a "jumbo". The weird part: it's rack was not all that impressive. It was with another large buck that was smaller in body size but had a very large set of antlers. And by jumbo I mean the body looked like donkey!

I think when you hear bios say that "mule deer can weigh up to 400 lbs"... this is the buck they are talking about.... :o

Absolutely awesome, I might have to throw up a couple pictures to get some weight estimates.

That a if buck for sure , I call bull on 250 lbs of meat sorry but that scale is off ! 35 years ago I saw a huge okanogan Mulie they killed up by night hawk on a huge chunk of private . He dwarfed the other bucks and hung close to 250 on the hook . A 350 lb. buck is gonna yield 120 -140 of meat , many 160 if you left the fat on him .
