Turkey in Goldendale - Friday morning around 10:00 AM
« on: April 19, 2009, 12:41:33 PM »
Here's a good sized Tom that I took, with quite a bit of help from Jerbear, on Friday morning, April 17th somewhere near Goldendale WA. Jerry charges $250 per hour guide charges (but you can cook your way out of it).

Okay so I guide for free.  But threatening him made him cook more.  He do that very well.  Had a second tom right behind the one David took, but he would not step out of the brush.  Was going to go back up tomorrow, but had a tom talking love, just over the fence from my house, on state game land at about 1330.  I may just visit him tomorrow and save the gas.
Life is good. gobble, gobble.

Dave, did you guys eat that turkey up already? It's good to see you connected with new friendships and with a turkey to put on the table. Jerry's a good guide.  :hello:

Bowhunter
They are pretty fired up right now.  It is turning out to be a good season.

Onehorn.  Yep you should have stayed.  The venison tacos were just great.

Onehorn: Boy were those venison tacos great. I ate 4 of them and Cathie was trying to get me to eat more. We had Venison pot roast and home made bread the night before. I can still smell that dinner. If you ever get over to Seattle way (not that anyone would come here on purpose) let me know and I'll cook you up some delicious grub, something from my cookbook perhaps.

We're headed over to Goldendale this year for deer. Anyone been up towards the monument?
