In the video they were spawning in the flooded trees so they were right under the surface of the water or surfacing to suck air. Sometimes they go so shallow their back are out of the water. I have not tried any deep shots but Tim Wells shoots them a little deeper. I am getting easy passthrough at the surface so I could probably still shoot a 12-18 inches under.

WoW. I have underestimated the power of a dart! Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
You must have mastered the art of sliding feetSent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
What lake do you shoot them in? East or Westside? I may give this a try, just for something else to try. Not sure how the dart would stay in. Seem like you would have to play them out for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Might be in the cards in the future I love my cold steel big bore blow gun.Man they are fun, aren't they? So powerful I have a hard time pulling darts out of my shed.I set up a target in the basement and the whole family likes taking turns. I would love more hunting opportunity with it but right now I am just using it on carp. I think I could hunt starling and squirrels but if they carried a dart off into the neighbors yards on a bad hit it would be awkward conversation.
