Spin pictures sticky
«
on:
December 11, 2020, 05:28:43 AM »
Ok, I may be the only person struggling but for the life of me I cannot get all my pictures to post the right way. I have spun them on my desktop like a top but it seems random when they get posted to the site how they show up but about 70% post correctly.
Can someone walk me through how to do it or make a new sticky like ya'll did for using the website and resizing pictures. I would love to be able to do it myself and not have to keep asking a mod for help.

You are saving them after you rotate them right?

When photos need rotated:
On my laptop I locate the photo file, then right click on the photo file, then left click on "open with" then left click on "Microsoft Office Picture Manager", then I rotate the photo and then I save it. I read somewhere that you should save as a new file so you still have the original photo file.
I never knew how to rotate photos on my androind phone or on my new iphone that I have now? Maybe someone else can help with that?

Thanks, I appriciate it, I have been saving them over the top of the other file. It posts them the same, I'll try to save under a different name in a few hours.

How to rotate pictures on IPhone. Basically the same on Android devices. Follow those 3 steps and when you click done it will automatically save a new rotated version to your phone.

So I was able to figure it out on my computer (windows). What I learned was that that I was doing flipping, and rotating would save them but it didn't matter how they were oriented before I posted them to the site, they would always post the same way.
If I oriented the picture the way that I wanted it and used the cropping tool and saved a new .jpeg. If I did this the pictures loaded correctly on the site every time.

I think part of that is file size too. Small photos always load better. If I'm using my phone I screen shot the photo and post the screen shot. If I'm on my computer I rotate and resize to 800x600 or there abouts and it virtually always loads properly.

There's got to be an easier way! Every other forum I click on the pic and paste it to the site to reply on.I tried the rotate thing and it doesn't work for me. I'm a retard!

So I rotated it to the right and this time it came thru again only on its side. What to keep it right side up?
