Idaho Unit 16 late Whitetail
« on: January 19, 2021, 08:59:34 AM »
Anyone have experience hunting in or around Unit 16 in Idaho?  Looks like there are some late whitetail tags left there.  That unit has lots of public ground and a good success rate.  I was told to check 8a and 10a out, but the tags are sold out in both of those units.

Would love to hear your experiences in that area.  Looks like my best chance of a guaranteed rut hunt out of state in 2021.

Thanks in advance for your $.02

I will never go back to ever hunting 8A or 10A again after spending time in that unit and surrounding units.  :twocents:

Have had a far more quality experience moving units and it's paid off. Last 10 days of the season is a good time to go over there.

8A and 10A are to whitetails as unit 39 is to mule deer.... The zoo's that everyone defaults to and those new to the state are recommended to go to.

I don't have any info on 16 though.
