WTB Benelli Montefeltro 20 gauge buttstock
« on: January 21, 2021, 07:50:32 PM »
I'm looking to replace the compact stock on a Monte with a full sized version. Every retailer and Benelli themselves currently have them backordered.

Gun is an H&K era Benelli, so guessing pre-2005 fit stocks only.

Long shot for sure but I really want this dang gun to fit the wife and I!

Yep tried them too, they appear to be the only game in town and they know it...charging $350 for a buttstock to go on a gun made in 1996 lol.

Did you consider making a spacer or a new butt pad?  I am assuming you are wanting to increase LOP? For a small investment and a little work this would get her by until you stumble into the stock you need.

 :yeah:

The difference in the LOP between the current Monte compact and standard is an inch and a half. If that's what you're trying to accomplish, either a thicker factory butt pad along with a slip on that also adds length, or a slip on that you add some additional material could work. Again, this will get you by until find a reasonably priced full length stock. Which, I'd suggest watching for on ebay.

Since your wife probably requires a shorter LOP, approaching this as something that will work for her - like adding an inch (no innuendo intended!)- might be the easiest to accomplish.

Thanks guys, we're all on the same page. I've got a beefy limbsaver pad on already to add about an inch and a quarter to the LOP. Does the job just fine but detracts from the overall aesthetic of the gun. I'll continue to keep my eyes out, if any of you happen to stumble upon one I'd appreciate a heads up!

One other suggestion is to reach out on Shotgunworld.com on the Benelli page and or semiautomatic classifieds page. Long shot, but ya never know. Good luck!

It would not hurt to call S&S Plus Stocks in Ploson MT, they do custom work. They may have one or a lead on one.
