I've  run plenty of shakers but that is money.
How do you keep the decoys apart??

I made my own decoy spreader rig that matches a Motionduck rig.

Looks like it would work.  I would probably run some 200lb downrigger braid.  Like $10 or $12 a spool at Wal Mart.
It would make for an easier retrieve for the unit.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Dude! I’ll be making me one of those soon! I love thinking outside the box and DIY stuff. That Requacktor of yours will work! I remember using swan decoys (white garbage bags held down by dirt clods) in my field spreads 30 years ago (got some VHS films of that 😂), gutted battery powered RC cars placed inside decoys (before battery powered was outlawed) and homemade wooden wing flappers. Good stuff! 😁

Cant wait until next season to see people making and using them.  I like DIY stuff and coming up with new ways of doing things. Especially if I can use existing parts or for a lot cheaper.  Had so many people tell me I should have patented this.  I probably should have looked into it but in my mind it was a bunch of parts that already exist not really a new invention.  Oh well.  We will prbobly see it on shelves soon and everyone can laugh at me.   :chuckle:

Nice rig, neighbor. And you should patent it!

Really cool! That works great!
Wife and I liked to jump shoot ‘The Potholes’. We would each carry one decoy in our backpacks when ‘everything’ was open. Hers with a pyramid weight and long string to toss and retrieve, mine with a broken off fishing pole (1 eye) and casting reel and sliding bank sinker. We would eat lunch by a pond, toss them out and I would wiggle the string once in a while to get some action. Worked good.
Cuterebra are NOT cute!

These work well.  We always used a pulley on stake near us so line was submerged and hidden.   I know these rigs in texas had a name but its been 20 years so can’t remember it.
