Yikes.  Yes, in my parent's house, there is an old pack frame.  I wouldn't touch that with a 40 foot pole.  The most uncomfortable thing on the planet.

Do you want to use it for meat, or for another purpose?  Not my business, just curious.

My guess would be that he wants to use it for a deer/elk mount.

There not cheap for one in good condition. I paid 175 for just the trappers pack and then the mount cost on top of that. But I will say it is a cool mount!

I bought the pack frame for five bucks at a G sale.
My wife made this for me out of my 2017 buck.

I have 4 old hand made pack frames that I would like to get rid of. They're kind of heavy duty though, meant for packing a good load. Four inch wide adjustable leather straps and canvas back so the nothing is digging into your back.

I won't be packing meat with it lol my grandpa recently passed away and I got his 6x7 Rosie antlers and a big 3pt Blackie and I wanted to make a mount for one of them with an old pack frame

From what I've seen looking online there not cheap lol

Located in Kingston. I made these back in the mid 70s, got the measurements from one my dad had. The wood is mahagony I believe. We could work out a deal after you look at them.
