Auction #2...Primers (Complete)
« on: February 28, 2021, 10:31:20 AM »
Auction #2.....1000 (1 brick) Winchester Large Rifle Primers.   I will not ship these primers.  I live in the Wenatchee area and will do my best to meet w/in a reasonable distance.  I am also happy to hold them until you make it over but all funds will need to be paid at the end of the auction if you want me to hold them.  I will be traveling to the NE / Hunters area in the next few weeks.

Auction will start at $40.....but remember this is going to a good cause.  If this auction goes well I will start a few more.  Auction ends Tuesday 3/2 at 2200 hours.

Annnnddddd......GOOOO!!

What can you tell us about the cause:   What does this money actually go toward?

Thanks.

Great question....I should have explained this in the original post.  Here is a link to the contest:

https://hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php/topic,255770.0.html

This is the 7th year that a youth turkey hunt / contest has been offered.  Dale (bearpaw) has generously offered up his guide services to sponsor the hunt.  Other members, like myself, have donated to the cause.  My donations have usually came in the form of gear / cash for gear for the winning youth.....(example, couple years ago I donated a very nice hunting blind).  We try and decide how to spend the funds based on what the winning youth needs / wants.  It's all about the experience and building up our youth hunters.  All funds are accounted for and all funds go to the winner of the contest.....period.  Take a look at years past....look at the pictures of the successful hunts.  Look at the smile on the youths faces....that is ultimately what is all about.

This year I decided to auction off items to raise funds.  I usually do not sell my reloading stock, but figured with the shortage, this was a way to kill two birds (pun intended) with one stone.  If anyone has further questions, I am happy to answer them.  People can also PM bearpaw if it makes them more at ease knowing the funds are 100% accounted for and go to the winning youth in the form of gear.
