WTB 280rem brass
« on: March 05, 2021, 08:48:48 AM »
Iím looking for 20 to 50 rounds of 280 Remington brass.  Iím helping a friend that doesnít have any ammo for his rifle by loading a box or 2 for him.   I am going to resize -06 brass unless someone comes forward with some 280.   I would prefer to trade for other components, primers, 9mm ammo, 223 ammo, or 22LR.

.30/06 brass resized to .280 will give hangfires unless the initial reloads have the bullets jammed out into the lands.  The shoulder of a .280 is slightly forward of where the .30/06 has it.   Learned this thru experience.

Yes,  Iím planning on resizing 30-06, then fire forming, then neck sizing.  I would much prefer to just full length size some 280 brass and be done with it.
