Gun value.
« on: April 24, 2021, 02:23:22 PM »
Got a 94ae .44 mag lever gun and roughly 425 rounds. Gun is well used and a good shooter. Been kicking around the idea of selling to fund another project. Been watching gun broker for a while just gun prices have been $800-$1800. What do you think would be a good package price for gun and ammo. If I decide to go that route. Thanks can pm me if you’d like.

Nice piece. Keep it. You've already got the ammo. That's enough gun to take down a few Aunt Tifas. Maybe @Carpsniperg2 would be interested or could give you guidance on the value. You also might want to sell the ammo separately during this period of time.  :dunno:

thanks I’m not against separating ammo if gun sells first

I dont know the value, but I'd love to buy it off you.  PM me if you end up wanting to sell it.

Market is pretty high right now. I would say if you want to do a fair price on the ammo 250 would be about right. The gun does look well used if it functions well like you said.
I would put it around 1000.00. So 1250.00 would be a solid price point. However with people going nuts right now you can likely get more but that’s what I would value it at with out the craze going on.

I just bought this like new Model 94AE 45LC at a local shop this past week and paid $690.  I didn't think it was a good or bad deal just kind of an average price for how things are now days but maybe it was a better deal than I thought.  Looking at ammo online it seems to be going for about $99.99 per 50 for the regular stuff and much higher for the specialty ammo.

Unless you just really have no use for it, I'd hang on to it.

i really don’t have a use buddy was hurting for money couple years ago so I bought the gun then have slowly picked up the ammo. Wanting to get a light weight tent and cold weather sleeping bag set up so will probably sell to fund that.I’ve got over $400 in the ammo

At a $1 per round the ammo will sell easy, it’s currently $2 or more online. The rifle looks fair,  but I’d agree somewhere between $800-$1200 for the rifle depending on year and actual condition.
